I don't care who you are theirs a reason people, customers buy arlo, hik,dahua, armrest, and ton of other cameras the simplicity of a dedicated app, simplicity of playing back a alert, without having to read a ton of directions. Even camect inhave seen in last 2 weeks since Blue Iris deep stack integration at least 6 people trying to sell their camect boxes on certain forums and switched back to Blue Iris. A quick Google search of sentry ai or Sighthound reviews is all a company needs or a regular customer needs to say their not for me. It's too late they didn't realize and I hope this doesn't happen to camect but their regular customers make or break them these companies do not have resources to survive if their base customers start posting comments on forums that owners and employees of the businesses they hope to attract will read saying sentry ai ,Sighthound isn't reliable, updates on important things are late or take to long, or with camect they cannot come up with a Android app or ios dedicated app. They lost sight of their base and now sentry is begging and posting again all over forums to get that base back. Same with Sighthound evey forum you go and search sentry ai and Sighthound nothing but negative comments. This is how their customers hurt them their is literally thousands upon thousands of Blue Iris users and even more who have heard of them across every cctv forum and social media and they told people stay away from sentry, they use to be a pretty good service. Reason I bring up sentry ai they finally just realized that their regular customers were the ones that made them and also the ones that hurt their business by ignoring them and not focusing on basic things Blue Iris was doing their customers canceled their subscriptions when Blue Iris deep stack came along.
It's accuracy of detection positive detection is about same since I started using blue Iris again for about a week along with camect. The newest update of Blue Iris has deep stack ai integrated into it and the false alerts have been cut down to about same percentage of camect. You can have as much hard drive storage as you want. it show you a notification preview picture of the detected alert without having to open the app. It gives you option to have a different alert tone for every camera, 3. Blue Iris is one guy and has a awesome Android and ios appĢ. Here's where camect is going to get left behind 1. Same with Sighthound great concept but their customers biggest complaints were their Android and ios apps, they too also took forever to come out with a workable and new app.
Their customers moved on canceled their subscriptions. Then they announced and promised a date for new update and took 8 months to make it happen. Ignoring their regular customers by the way of not releasing what their customers wanted, person and vehicle detection and few other things on Blue Iris. I would hate to see camect go the way of sentry ai they built that company on the backs of regular customers, on Blue Iris then switched and dedicated most of their time and resources to focus on commercial business sales. But updates don't seem to be pushed fast fast enough and especially what every security cameras owners I know want is a ios/android dedicated app.
1st I love camect especially after the last update.
